Quality Policy

At County Foods we believe in providing the highest standards of products and service to all our customers. Our aim is to achieve this through commitment to the Organisational goals & objectives of the company, our management commitment to continual improvement and to meet the expectations and needs of customers. We will strive to deliver high quality products to our customers through the adherence to these principles.

Quality Assurance

Our Quality Management System is designed to enhance future developments, provide consistent monitoring and to provide measurable goals for continual improvements.

Our ‘Standard Operating Procedures' are followed systematically so as to promote Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and to guarantee the integrity of our products.

Suppliers & Traceability

Quality begins at source via traceability and the use of approved suppliers who satisfy our company of their quality assurance standards & ethics. Our products carry full traceability which enables the product to be traced throughout the entire process from the source to the point of delivery to the customer.

We purchase all our products from local, national and international suppliers who are required to have a full EC License to ensure compliance of all EC Directives and Regulations. All suppliers are required to conform to the standards set out in our Quality Management System. This includes the exclusion of any suppliers who fail to operate ethically.

Certificates

National Association of Catering Butchers– Standard attained at Higher level by SAI Global *.

* SAI Global provides expert independent audits, assessments and certification of our products & business processes to ensure that we comply with the highest industry standards.

Approved Meat Cutting Plant- EU-EC Approved - Our facilities are approved as a UK cutting plant by the European Union (EU) and Food Standards Agency (FSA. Accreditation is controlled, enforced and executed by the Meat Hygiene Service (MHS).

NACB Member – purchasing from an approved NACB supplier provides you with assurances that conform to the ABM “farm to fork “supply chain, delivering certified traceability and providing a clear record and assurance to all our discerning customers so that you can purchase our products with confidence.

In consultation with industry, ABM set the beef and lamb assurance standards through the whole chain including farm, livestock transport, markets and abattoirs. ABM represents assured members to Defra, FSA, LACORS, industry trade associations and other independent bodies.

Red Tractor Members

The Red Tractor Scheme is the firmest guarantee that food can be traced right back to the farms from which it came – an assurance that is backed up by regular trace-back inspections. There are over 78,000 members of the scheme, all committed to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene, animal welfare and environmental protection.

Quality Standard Mark

County Foods Ltd are proud to be a registered supplier as part of the EBLEX Quality Standard Mark scheme. The EBLEX Quality Standard scheme gives our customers very high levels of assurance about the beef and lamb they buy.

HACCP & Risk Assessment

All key areas of our business are subject to full Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP). Based on HACCP principles. The Quality Management team perform detailed checks which are documented and recorded to ensure complete quality assurance.

Microbiology

To ensure & maintain high quality standards we use an independent UKAS accredited laboratory for shelf life analysis and product sampling.

Food Safety & Training

To guarantee that food safety levels are maintained to the highest standards. Our team ensures that our working procedures and continually monitored, evaluated and improved upon.

Our Quality documents and associated records may be made available for inspection upon written request or as part of an agreed site visit, by appointment.
