County Foods, an established Catering Butchers based in Poole, are currently seeking a Trainee Sausage / Burger Production Operative to join our Day Shift.
Reporting to either the Shift Supervisor or Manager you will be fully trained to make sausages and burgers within a shift of 12-14 Production Operatives who work in a challenging, traditional butchery-based factory environment without line production.
Day Shift: 47 hours per week, worked Monday to Saturday, 4 a.m. start with a finish time of 11:30 a.m. on Saturdays.
NOTE: It is essential that candidates have a good level of both written and spoken English as all employees are required to accurately complete paperwork associated with their duties.
THE ROLE - Once trained, you will follow accurately, specific instruction and recipes for production of sausages and burgers for supply to both retail and the catering trade. You will produce finished product to our Award Winning standard, ensuring that food handling, manufacturing, traceability and batch code recording procedures, are followed in line with regulations set by the Food Standards, Hygiene and Health & Safety regulators.
You will also be required to perform various Production Operative tasks which may include; cleaning of machinery and work areas plus packing, weighing and labelling of products to standards assigned to you by your Manager / Supervisor.

Competitive rates of pay (above minimum wage), negotiable depending on previous experience.
